Liza swung her feet idly, using the plastic spoon in her hand to poke at the congealed mass that might or might not be mashed potatoes. Her first official glee meeting was that night after school, and part of her didn't want to go. Hell, she hadn't auditioned on purpose, and had she had a choice, she would have erased the memory from everyone's memory and gone back to obscurity.
Still, part of her was still considering it. She didn't want the attention- the idea made her stomach more queasy than the idea of ingesting this "food" did- but there was something in it for her. A chance to be nearer to him.
Liza wasn't enough of an idiot to think anything would come of her presence being in New Directions. It wasn't like he'd pay any attention her- he didn't even know who she was now, and just because she could sing... well, no one had ever really wooed someone with song. That was something strictly for the stage, not real life.
She pulled her leg under her and blinked as a blond form appeared in front of her. This was going to prove to be an interesting day, if Quinn Fabrey was seeking her out.

"You. Up." Quinn stated authoritatively, and the girl blinked despondently at her. Quinn arched a brow, tilting her head so that her ponytail swished slightly. The girl made no move to actually follow her orders, and Quinn sighed.
"It's pretty much mandatory glee club sits together at lunch the first day of rehearsal. Tradition, if you will." Quinn's voice brooked no room for argument, but it was as dictating as it had been. Naturally, she had heard all about the stir this tiny, birdlike girl had caused the day before- both from Rachel's bitching and from Puck. If the girl was part of the group, well, it was time that she be properly inducted into it.
"Come on." Quinn said, gesturing for the girl to stand. Hesitantly, she did, and she fell into line as Quinn gave her the first true smile, heading back to where some of the members of New Directions had ended up. "Hey!" Quinn called out, catching Puck's attention as he attempted to join the Football team instead, and she arched a brow, shaking her head. Puck gave her a dirty look but settled into the glee table.
"Just pick a seat- nobody bites." Quinn noticed the girl hanging back, looking paralyzed by the very idea. She sat down herself, and tentatively, Eliza sat next to her, taking the rest of the group in with wide eyes. This was really Rachel's "replacement" as the other girl had so melodramatically called her? Quinn didn't see it. In fact, the whole thing seemed like a joke.

Santana walked up to the table that the New Directions group sat up every first day of school. Who had come up with the idea of all of them sitting together on this day? She'd much rather be sitting with the rest of the Cheerios, even though she wasn't ashamed to be part of the Glee Club anymore. One more than one occasion she had proved that she was powerful both on the stage and on the mats.
With a slight huff she set her tray down, and followed it by sitting down a few seconds after. School lunches were always quite disgusting. What was this supposed to be anyways? Some sort of mutant mashed potatoes?
Setting down her fork and looking around the table, she saw that some of her fellow Glee club members were already seated. Puck had just taken a seat, and Quinn as well, the new dark haired girl trailing behind her a bit. What was her name again? Liza. No, Elizabeth? Eliza, wasn't it Eliza? Oh who cared. And where was Brittany, anyway?

Kurt walked into the cafeteria, a paper bag in his hand. He rather make his own lunch rather than eat the nasty crap the lunch lady's seemed to think was good enough to eat. He, did not agree.
He, being very proud of being in Glee, walked straight up to the table and sat across from Quinn. "Hello Quinn," he said with a smile that was a cross between sincere and sarcastic. Mostly sincere of course, but his smiles always had a pink of sarcasm in them.
He turned and noticed Liza, not that he even remembered her name at all. "Oohh Rachel isn't going to be happy," he said his eyes brightening a little. Not that he honestly cared about Rachels happiness or unhappiness.
They were mere acquaintance. He eyed the girl next to Quinn before turning back to Quinn. "Her name?" His tone was more curious then anything else. If she was going to be in glee, well he needed to know her name. Obviously.

Artie had brought his own lunch, for different reasons then Kurt. His reason was that he didn't want to spill the school lunch so his mom packed him lunch. Well, he didn't care, his mom cared. She was such a worry wart when i came to Artie. Don't do this, don't do that. He did them anyway.
He was balancing the bag on his lap as he rolled himself next to Kurt and Quinn at the edge of the table. He placed the bag on the table and quirked a brow. "Rachel won't like.." he trailed off looking at Liza. He actually did know her name, even though he is quiet most of the time, he is very observant.
"Her, yes..though Rachel is hardly ever happy," he said. It was true, she was constantly angry. Never fully happy, not that Artie was ever in the way of that anger. Usually anyway. Sometimes he was getting some kind of torture from Rachel. But if you were in New Directions and not getting tortured. Well you were lucky.
He gave Kurt a, 'wow i thought you knew everything look' and turned to Liza. He wasn't going to say anything about Kurt asking Quinn her name instead of Liza herself. Though he thought it kind of rude. He thought maybe she was gonna do something about it...but sometimes he was wrong.

After hearing the bell releasing them to lunch, it had taken Brittany a few moments to realize what was happening and by the time she was ready to leave the classroom, everyone had already gone. Usually shhe would have followed along with Santana or Quinn to the lunchroom, since that was much easier than trying to find the place on her own. Though, she knew that she had to get there eventually, as the New Directions bunch was all getting together for the first lunch. Typically she would have sat with the Cheerios, but this was some sort of tradition that she wasn't about to break. She just had to find the lunchroom first.
Picking up her things, she left the classroom and began following the crowds, assuming they would eventually lead her to the lunchroom. Eventually, the smell of questionable food hit her nose and she was quite sure that she had come to the right place. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see most of the others already seated, so she hurried into line to get her lunch before heading over there. Although most people questioned the fact that the food was actually food, Brittany didn't mind the school's food at all, considering it was better than anything she could have made herself and her mother was more or less a disaster in the kitchen. Taking her food with a smile, she turned back to sit down with her friends.
As usual, she took the seat next to Santana, setting her tray down on the table in front of her. Looking up, she saw mostly people that she recognized, but there was one girl in particular that she didn't remember ever seeing before. A confused look flashed across her face, but she decided it was best not to say anything for a moment. "Hey everyone," she said, a friendly smile on her face. Even in the face of confusion, she was always quite pleasant. Besides, she was back around her friends and that was always a reason to be happy.

Being lost as she was, Erica could barley figure out where the cafeteria was let alone the table she was suppose to sit at. She went through the line quietly to get some lunch. Was that mashed potatoes? What Ohio supposed to be famous for there potatoes?? Whatever, she thought. She got some potatoes and that mystery meat shit and looked around the cafeteria.
She saw Puck, Quinn, Liza, and a couple of other people in Glee sitting at one table, and shyly approached. Her pulse somewhat raced and she watched the others laughing at some type of funny thing. She knew that she obviously wasn't going to be the most popular girl in the school, but she knew she had to get on top fast. And if she couldn't make a good impression with the glee club, who could she make a good impression with?
She slowly approached Quinn and smiled lightly. "Hey Quinn, do you mind if I sit with you guys?" Her light smile was charming as ever, as she asked with a dainty tone. Her voice had always been so sweet, but she made it a point to make it sound friendly.
